February Recap

I guess this should just become a recap post for the month since it has been almost 3 weeks since I posted anything. First, I must sincerely apologize to you all (and myself really). This blog/journal portion of this was meant to be a way to hold myself accountable each day and process my “withdraws” and stressors/triggers that made my psyche want to consume alcohol. I obviously haven’t been doing that but what have I been doing? In short, a lot?

At the end of 2025 I had signed my contract as F&B Co-Manager of the Orlando Fringe Festival. The Festival has become near and dear to my heart and I love being a part of it. I am also Co-Manager with one of my best friends and someone that I have worked with and known for 10+ years now. I trust her with my life. As we are getting into Festival Mode, I am starting to build drink menus, be present for tastings so I can hear what the notes are from people (not participating), as well as working through staffing and meetings and all the fun stuff that goes into managing 3 bars for a festival like Fringe. That has been a lot.

On top of Fringe, I am also working my full time job and trying to take opportunities for growth and development within that company as well. So with working 35-40 hours a week at one job, trying to add in another 25-30 hours for Fringe, my plate is full already.

But a full plate doesn’t mean that I stop. Apparently I am gluten for punishment because I am also a full time student. Working on dual majors in Anthropology and Zoology. So you can imagine that each semester is jammed packed with stuff. With this semester, I think I took on more than I thought but I am not failing.

But all of that said is not meant to be an excuse for my lack of blog posts. I will say that it doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on content for the page and all the other social media pages. There is more to come soon, really soon. I am excited to share what I have been doing.

So what is my plan; I am going to scale back on blog posts to twice a week instead of daily (maybe I can eventually scale up to daily). Social Media posts will be in the same frequency, just on different days, and I eventually want to get to a point where there is enough of us that we can plan meetups and hangouts. So let’s see where this Journey takes us.
